Peter A. Koch
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Koch Eye Associates, Peter Koch is responsible for the growth of a three doctor practice with one office, to a twenty doctor practice with 140 employees, nine offices, three refractive centers, an ambulatory surgery center and a fleet of patient transport vans.
A successful business entrepreneur since his days at Bishop Hendricken High School and graduation from the College of the Holy Cross, Peter has owned or co-owned several other businesses over the years including Regency Liquors of Seekonk, Regency Cigar Emporium, Rhode Island Managed Eye Care, New England ATM, Regency Combs, Royal Floridian Limousines, Heritage Optical and Wickford Optical. Prior to his position at Koch Eye Associates, Peter acquired substantial expertise in financial and statistical analysis as the owner of his own Public Accounting Firm for seven years, maintaining two offices and six employees.
Always an active member of the community, Peter currently serves, or has served, as a board or steering committee member for several local organizations, including Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership, Workforce Partnership of Greater Rhode Island, Sargent Rehabilitation Center, Rhode Island Chapter of the American Red Cross, as Vice Chairman, Warwick Chamber Education Foundation, Cornerstone Adult Services and the Riverpoint Royals Baseball Team. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for Bishop Hendricken High School and has also been inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame.
In recognition of his commitment to the community, in 2002 Peter was awarded the Al Andrews Community Achievement Award by the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and also received the Alice Sullivan Award for his dedication to high school sports. In 2004, he received an award from the Volunteer Center of Rhode Island for Outstanding Commitment to Volunteerism. That same year, Koch Eye Associates was honored by the Providence Business News, with their Business Excellence Award for Community Involvement. Most recently, Tides Family Services honored the Koch Family with their very first Humanitarian Award.
In addition to being a past president of the Holy Cross Club of Rhode Island, in his spare time Peter has personally mentored two Warwick students and taught Junior Achievement in the Warwick public schools. He has also remained actively involved in high school sports by sponsoring an annual Statewide Girls Volleyball Tournament since 1994. In 2008, he was honored by the high school volleyball coaches with the Joyce Donahue Award for his continuing support and commitment to the sport.
A resident of Warwick, Peter is married and has four grown children. An avid and accomplished golfer, with 6 “holes in one” to his credit, Peter is a member of Carnegie Abbey in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Skibo Castle in Dornach, Scotland, Bovey Castle in Devon, England and Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida.
