Meet Dr. Uddin
Dr. Uddin is a primary care optometrist with Koch Eye Associates. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Rhode Island Optometric Association. Dr. Uddin is a native of Massachusetts and now resides in Rhode Island with her husband. She enjoys running, hiking, reading, and traveling.
Areas of Expertise
As a primary care optometrist, Dr. Uddin specializes in a wide range of eye care. She is experienced in dry eye care, glaucoma management, and pre- and post-operative co-management of cataract and refractive surgery patients. She also regularly performs comprehensive eye exams and glasses and contact lens services.
Education
Dr. Uddin received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Connecticut. She earned her doctorate in optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. While there, she received the Varilux Student Grant Award and the Marchon Practice Management Award of Excellence. Dr. Uddin completed externships with honors in Massachusetts and Connecticut. These included the Martha Eliot Health Center in Boston, the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Tallman Eye Associates in Lawrence, and Rocky Hill Eye Associates in Connecticut. She also participated in a service trip to Belize where she provided eye care to underserved communities.
