I can't fault the providers- they have been great. However, the optical shop has been horrendous. I ordered glasses for myself and my daughter and SIX WEEKS later, nothing. I've called several times- no one has ever answered the phone or returned a message, and so I have to call the main receptionist and ask to speak to someone in optical- only to be told "there's been a delay (not sure what), hopefully they come in next week". After complaining that I've been told this for several weeks, I did not receive a single apology or empathetic response. I asked for my prescription and took them to nearby CPS Optix and got glasses on the same visit! More

Not happy. You are just a number here. Wrong prescription glasses given to me. Cannot see a thing with them. Done. More

I went to Koch Eye associates for an annual eye exam.  I recently moved to Rhode Island and needed a physician in my area.  I found Dr Santos cold with little to no "bedside manner".  It took three weeks to get new contact lenses to try.  I had to go for a "fitting appointment" and got new lenses to try.  After 6 hours the lenses irritated my eyes and I removed them.   I left numerous messages but Dr Santos never called back.  When I call again and insisted that he give me another brand of lens to try I was told that I needed to come in for yet ANOTHER appointment.  I reported Koch Eye associates to my insurance company and United Health agreed that Koch Eye was "padding " appointments to collect more money from the insurance company.  I have switched to anothert eye doctor.  I would never recommend Koch Eye Associates and I will never go back to them. I personally did not have a good experience. I was felt this surgery was really "sold" to me as quick and painless (just "discomfort"), with extremely minimal downtime. That was not the case at all. A few key points (1) the pain directly after the surgery was excruciating, 10/10. I had not taken pain medicine because I was not warned and rather told I would only feel uncomfortable. (2) This is an expensive center comparatively and i was given the cheapest sunglasses after the surgery for the ride home (I was expected sufficient blackout glasses) then they did no followup call to check in - not one single time (3) my eyes have been very dry since the surgery and I have been struggling to conduct normal hours of online work. I have a virtual position and need to be working on a computer for long hours - i was told I would be back to normal work within three days which was not true. (4) I did not meet the doctor who conducted my surgery until the moment before it occurred, and saw different people in each appointment - there was no consistency with personnel (with the exception of one assistant who had never undergone lasik herself). Two months later I still have light sensitivity, dryness... I still do not feel my eyes are back to normal. Overall, I felt like they treated me as client being sold a car not a patient being provided a serious medical procedure. The risks and pain were not properly relayed at all. There was inefficient followup (even though they knew I was having issues). More

Good eye doctorsbut their optical shop in Wakefield is terrible at communicating with their customers. I had to call 7 times and leave 7 messages and then finally I got someone on the phone. Nobody ever called me back, and I had to keep harassing them. Very poor customer service. I understand they are very busy but I paid for my frames and glasses, the least you can do is take 30 seconds to let me know they're not in yet. More
